A collection a day.

Artist and illustrator Lisa Congdon has may collections, any of which I am very envious. There is something nostalgic and soothing about a collection, it doesn’t matter what the collection is, you will always spot something that takes you back in time and reminds you of something or someone from a bygone era.

Lisa has collection upon collection and is photographing one a day for a whole year, and set up a blog to showcase this entitled A Collection a Day.

I once met someone who had collected hundreds of Casio calculator watches remember them? The tiny buttons all lined up, willing for someone to make them beep. What is it about a collector? A stable someone who is willing to spend time and patience scouting out their love?

Surely it must be the rush of finding something that you treasure, and then the comfort of nestling it next to its non identical twin. Lines and rows. Lisa makes me want to start collecting. Anything. Everything. Now.
