I was commissioned to make these Ringlet Butterflies for a wedding present over the summer. I used two panels to signifying the joining of two people to make a complete picture. I laid gold leaf onto board and then painted butterflies in oil paint. The sun was so bright when I was painting them, it nearly blinded me!
